Samsung Dryer bE error code
The dryer thinks a button on the control panel has been held down for more than 30 seconds - a stuck or jammed key. It locks out the panel until the button is freed.

What causes the bE error?
- A button physically stuck or jammed
- Something leaning against the control panel
- Moisture or residue under a touch key
- Warped or damaged control panel
- Failed touch panel electronics
How to fix Samsung bE — step by step
Work through these in order, from simplest and safest first. Stop as soon as the code clears.
- Press every button firmly
Turn the dryer off, then press each button on the panel one by one, firmly. This frees any key that is physically stuck and is the official first step for bE. - Clear the panel area
Remove anything leaning on or hanging over the control panel - laundry, hangers, cleaning bottles. Constant pressure on one spot is a common cause. - Clean the panel with a dry cloth
Wipe the control panel with a soft, dry cloth to remove moisture, detergent residue, or grime around the keys. Do not spray cleaner directly onto the panel.Safety warning: Keep liquids away from the panel seams - moisture under the keys causes false presses. - Power-cycle the dryer
Unplug the dryer for 2 to 5 minutes, then plug it back in and test the buttons. If bE returns with no stuck key, the panel electronics are at fault.
When to call a technician
- bE returns with no visibly stuck button
- A key is physically damaged or collapsed
- The whole touch panel is unresponsive
- The control panel needs replacement
Frequently asked questions
One button feels different from the others. Is that the problem?
Very likely. A key that feels sunken, gritty, or unresponsive compared to the rest is the stuck one - work it firmly several times to free it.
Can steam from the laundry room cause bE?
Yes. Moisture condensing under touch keys registers as a continuous press. Improve ventilation and wipe the panel dry.
bE is gone but the button still does nothing. Now what?
The key may be freed mechanically but electrically dead. That needs a control panel replacement by a technician.
